How we work

What we measure

We use these instruments under licence. They give you an outside view: not what you intend, but what the people around you experience.

The Leadership Circle ©
Measures your leadership on 41 aspects. We combine the observations of at least fifteen people around you, executives, team members and clients, into a 360° picture. What it shows is the distance between how you see yourself and how you are seen. The Manager Edition does the same for management skills.
Achieving Style Inventory ©
From The Connective Leadership Institute. The ASI shows how you prefer to get things done with other people, and where that preference will cost you when circumstances change. The Aspirational ASI measures the behaviour you would like to have. Side by side, the work becomes obvious.
Communication Style Survey ©
Your preferred style when things are calm, and your style under pressure. They are rarely the same. To connect you have to recognise someone else’s style and move towards it without giving up your own.
Follower Style Inventory ©
How much energetic and loyal support do you give a leader, and how willing are you to challenge that leader when policy or behaviour damages the mission? Both are needed for real collaboration. The survey first asks what you think you would do, and then what you actually do.
Thomas Kilmann Survey ™
Your preferences in conflict. Which approach do you reach for, which one do you leave untouched, and which one actually gets you the result you want? It also covers how to escalate a situation safely.

The thinking

Methods we work with

Four bodies of work sit underneath most of our programmes. They are not ours, and we say so; what we add is the practice.

Immunity to Change

Lisa Lahey and Robert Kegan, Harvard

A step by step route to the hidden blockages that keep desirable behaviour out of reach. You hold on to your core values while you dare to look at the assumptions you never chose consciously, and replace them with experience. You leave with a plan for one change.

Invisible Leadership

Gill Hickman and Georgia Sorenson

A worldwide study that began in 2004. Teams reached their goal faster, and held on to it longer, without anyone leading from the front. The conclusion: the charisma of a common purpose outlasts the charisma of a person.

Immunity to Trust

Building a relationship that holds

How does trust actually come about, and what do you do once it is gone? An interactive programme about the adjustments that make a working relationship, or a personal one, survive bad news.

Courageous Followership

Ira Chaleff

“Kein Mensch hat das Recht zu gehorchen,” wrote Hannah Arendt. How do followers get the best out of a leader, and how willing are they to say something when policy or behaviour starts to damage the mission? With exercises, so that people leave knowing their own style.
